Utilizing her creativity and intense training style, with a black belt in Taekwondo and North Carolina State sparring champion, Aja Davis is one of Brooklyn’s best and most effective trainers.
Aja Davis has been active in sports since a young age. She started studying martial arts at the age of 6 and continued studying Taekwondo until she earned her 3rd Degree black belt. She has traveled the world studying several other martial arts including Jujitsu, Judo, Aikido, and Capoeira. Her background and experience with martial arts not only taught her discipline and perseverance, but serves as the groundwork for much of her training as she focuses on teaching her clients correct breathing, form and technique.
She graduated Cum Laude from Georgetown University majoring in Women and Gender Studies with a minor in Japanese. It was at Georgetown that Aja kicked off her training career working at the YWCA in Washington, DC. After graduation, Aja moved to Guadalajara, Mexico where she spent the year working as an English teacher in order to support herself while she learned Spanish. Upon her return, she started working for Gold’s Gym in North Carolina before making the move to NYC. Once in the city, she began working for Crunch and after only a few months became one of the top-producing trainers. Currently, she owns and operates New Body Boot Camp & Wellness, a fitness boot camp and personal training facility in Brooklyn, NY. |
